Scotland - Day 2

Tuesday at Drummuir Castle we had a presentation of the haggis (traditional Scottish dish - a kind of sausage or savoury pudding cooked in a casing of sheep's intestine!) followed by a poem read from Robert Burns 1759-1796. Photos to come....

On the menu that evening was:

  • Smoked salmon salad
  • Roast Loin of Venison with green beans, roast squash and red wine sauce
  • Poached peach with honey parfait and raspberries

Whisky and Wine:

  • Talisker 10 year
  • Macon Uchizy 2009 Domaine Talmard (white)
  • Hermitage 2006 Bernard Faurie (red)
